About me:

I have been painting and drawing for over two decades!  I currently hold a Bachelor's Degree in Studio Art and Art History from Hartwick College.  I am now pursuing a Master's in Museum Studies at Harvard Extension School. 

 

Although I am not a 'full time' artist, I try to spend time painting each day.  In creating art, I tend to use bright colors and bold, graphic shapes.  I like to mix and match images from pop culture and daily life.  Images just tend to show up in my life, be it on the subway, in something I see in the library where I work or in the media.  Putting them on the page together in a way that is both aesthetically appealing and provocative is often a matter of experimentation - going down false paths, scrapping things to start over or just thinking about each choice for a long, long time.  It's hard work - no doubt about that.
